London, September 30th, 2025 – The latest London edition of The Italian Show concluded with great success, once again celebrating the excellence of Italian food and wine. Organized by I Love Italian Food in collaboration with the Federazione Italiana Cuochi UK, the event brought together professionals from the food & beverage industry and champions of authentic Made in Italy.
Set in the elegant Royal Horticultural Halls in Westminster, the day welcomed hundreds of British and international operators for a full immersion into Italian culinary culture, through masterclasses, talks, and tastings.
The event opened with the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony, attended by representatives from the Embassy of Italy in London, the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), and the Consulate General of Italy in London, who greeted the audience and emphasized the importance of initiatives like The Italian Show in promoting the Italian agri-food sector in the United Kingdom.
Right after the official opening, the spotlight turned to the Tasting Show, where Chef Carmelo Carnevale, President of the Italian Culinary Consortium, kicked off the program with a masterclass dedicated to Gorgonzola DOP, showing how creativity can elevate one of Italy’s most iconic products. He was followed by Chef Cristina Bowerman, Michelin-starred at Glass Hostaria in Rome, who shared her vision of contemporary Italian cuisine, highlighting flexibility and innovation as essential tools for today’s restaurateurs.
In the afternoon, Chef Gennaro Esposito, two Michelin stars at La Torre del Saracino, led guests on a flavorful journey celebrating the Italian tomato, in collaboration with Ciao – Il Pomodoro di Napoli. Later, the Cuochi Contadini of Campagna Amica showcased their dishes inspired by rural Italian traditions, while Filippo La Gattuta, Executive Chef at Big Mamma UK, closed the cooking demos with an engaging lesson on the art of pasta, focusing on the bicolor raviolo as a symbol of creativity and craftsmanship.
The Pizza Show also drew large crowds, featuring an outstanding lineup of some of the world’s top Italian pizzaioli: from Peppe Cutraro, world champion of contemporary pizza and a symbol of Italian success in Paris, to Diego Vitagliano, who brought to London the authentic flavors of the Campi Flegrei. Davide Civitiello revealed the secrets behind crafting the perfect gluten-free pizza, while Lorenzo Floris (Rudy’s) celebrated the true Neapolitan pizza and its timeless identity. Among the most original performances was Roberto Vitale (Pizza Chef at A’Do’RE’ fritto), who showcased how pizza dough can become a tool for creativity and innovation with his fried pizza shaped like a babà, blending technique and tradition in a contemporary key. To conclude the program, Antonino Stillitano (Calabrisella, Cardiff) brought a touch of innovation with his bergamot-infused dough, paying homage to Calabria and embodying a modern vision rooted in authenticity.
On the Talks Stage, moderated by journalist Rosita Dagh of London One Radio, industry experts and professionals discussed the latest trends in the British market. Panels covered a wide range of topics, from the connection between food and culinary tourism—with insights from Carmelo Troccoli, Enrico Soresini, and Micaela Giacobbe—to the rise of Italian pizza chains in the UK, featuring Enrico Pireddu, Salvatore Aloe, and David Tester. In the afternoon, Antimo Caputo, Maurizio Cecco, and Luigi Carnevale explored the role of flavor as a cultural bridge between Italy and the UK, while the final session—with Giorgio Locatelli, Enzo Oliveri, Maurizio Fazzari, and David Foskett—offered an in-depth reflection on the evolution of Italian hospitality in the United Kingdom.
Once again, The Italian Show London 2025 proved to be a key meeting point between international professionals and Italian supply chains, a platform where education, culture, and business converge to promote the quality and authenticity of Made in Italy. A day filled with energy, inspiration, and sharing that reaffirmed how Italian cuisine continues to unite people, stories, and territories around the world—carrying forward the unmistakable value of our gastronomic identity.
